The Oklahoma Mission of Mercy is a two-day free dental clinic event designed to meet the critical needs of patients by providing donated dental care to as many adults and children as time and volunteers will allow. Treatment is given on a first-come, first-served basis and there is no eligibility or income requirement to seek treatment.
DDOK Foundation partnered with the Oklahoma Dental Association (ODA) and Oklahoma Dental Foundation (ODF) to co-produce the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy since the inaugural event. Due to the ODA board of trustees’ decision to dissolve our partnership agreement, the 2024 event in Lawton was the last the time we served as co-producer and the event underwriter of Oklahoma Mission of Mercy.
As the underwriting donor, DDOKF contributed more than $1.5 million toward the 13 events held between 2010 and 2024, and DDOK employees volunteered more than 8,000 hours. During that time, more than $16.4 million in donated dental care was delivered to 19,083 patients in need by volunteer dental professionals.
