The mission of the Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation is to improve the oral health of all Oklahomans by increasing access to dental care, funding oral health education, and supporting organizations that serve vital oral health needs in our communities.

As a not-for-profit dental benefits company, it is the mission of Delta Dental of Oklahoma (DDOK) to improve the oral health of all Oklahomans. DDOK strives to accomplish this mission by:
- Providing quality dental benefits plans to more than one million Oklahomans
- Donating our proceeds to the Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation to advance dental education and access to care.

Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation
The Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable foundation that seeks to improve the oral health of Oklahomans by:
- Providing grants to free and low-cost dental clinics and programs that provide care to underserved and at-risk individuals
- Connecting individuals to the dental care they need through our Dental Care Navigator and our Resource for Dental Care guide
- Educating thousands of elementary age school children each year about good oral hygiene and dental disease prevention through our Captain Supertooth and MouthScience programs
- Guarding the grins of student athletes through our Mouthguard program
- Supporting the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and its outreach, research and educational programs
- Awarding scholarships to dental and dental hygiene students who intend to practice in Oklahoma upon graduation, increasing the number of dental professionals in our state
- Establishing undergraduate scholarship endowments at all state universities with pre-dental programs to encourage higher education/careers dentistry
- Providing Delta Dental Reach Higher Scholarships at community colleges for non-traditional students working toward dentistry related careers
Our History
2023
- Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation (DDOKF) launched the Delta Dental Cavity Prevention Network to conduct school-based sealant clinics across the state.
- DDOKF achieved its goal of establishing a pre-dentistry scholarship endowment at every state university with a pre-dental track or program.
2022
- Launched the Delta Dental Mouthguard program for student athletes.
2021
- DDOKF made a $2 million donation to the OU College of Dentistry for the establishment of a Comprehensive Dental Care Clinic on the OU Tulsa campus.
- Broadened the reach of the OU College of Dentistry annual scholarship fund to include dental hygiene students.
2020
- Launched several COVID-19 Pandemic Response programs, including the Dental Care Navigator and the Dental Emergency Fund.
2017
- Launched the MouthScience oral health education program for 4-6 grade students.
2015
- Launched a school-based sealant pilot program, the first of its kind in the state of Oklahoma.
2013
- DDOKF pledged $3.2 million to the OU College of Dentistry Legacy Project, a capital campaign for a comprehensive renovation of the college’s building and clinics.
2010
- The Foundation fully funded the first ever Oklahoma Mission of Mercy with a $150,000 grant and partnered with Oklahoma Dental Association and Oklahoma Dental Foundation to conduct annual OkMOM events across the state through 2024.
2001
- Established an annual scholarship fund for dental students at the OU College of Dentistry.
2000
- Launched its Captain Supertooth program for K-3rd grade students.
1999
- The Foundation awards its first grant: $10,000 to D-DENT
1998
- Delta Dental of Oklahoma (DDOK) establishes the Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation (DDOKF).
